This plugin has basic monitoring of a Jira Server and the projects on it. Once manually inventoried it can verify server availability and inventory projects and their associated filters. It can monitor only one really interesting metric right now which is the count of issues matching a filter. (The Jira API is not very robust in this area)

Future

This plugin only monitors filter counts right now. The SOAP API doesn't have a way to create new filters so it can't really monitor things like projects open rates and backlog unless you manually create filters. It does have a search API that could conceivably return all the issues for a project that could then be filtered and categorized, but that doesn't seem feasible from a memory perspective for a project of any real size.
